The Problem

As the 21st century progresses it is quite obvious that trends in declining reimbursement in medicine will continue. The last few years have seen almost continuous decline in reimbursements by Medicare and the Insurance industry and there is no indication it will improve. The third party payers have learned now to depress reimbursement over the last twenty years and will use this prowess to continue to do so.

Doctors are working harder to just maintain their income or are actually seeing their incomes decrease. Physicians need to accommodate to the fact that it will need to adapt new procedures and technologies that are cash based and not reimbursed to offset the spiral down that incomes are taking.
